It depends on where you live, but I top with as much as 5 gals a week in my
55long in the winter in Kansas (RH is about 15-20%) in the summer I usually
only have to top 2-3 gals a week (RH 55-60%)

So sounds right to me, but YMMV

My 180 w/ 100g sump has about 6 gallon per day evaporation, I only wish it
was that much a week.

Heat and wind (fans) can evaporate one heck of a lot of water in short
order.

When I was running three uncovered sumps, I was losing almost 10
gallons a week from a 75 gallon tank, but I had close to 125 gallons
of water in the whole system.

Once I buttoned everything up, covered the sumps, etc. Evaporation
dropped to about 3 gallons per week, which is par for 125 gallons.
