i have QT my fish after a out break of white spot i am useing copper
treatment do i take the media out of my filter[biomax and carbon]

I've not had any trouble leaving the ionic types of media (like Chem-Pure) in
during treatment, but I've read that carbon can interfere with the copper.

Get a decent copper test kit, and then you can test the copper levels. If they
decline fairly rapidly, pull the media.
