Are you keeping tank lights on for a long period? Is the top of the tank
pretty much sealed with glass so that heat can't escape and evaporation is
further slowed down as well? 82 is fine in the summer months anyway. When
it's humid, tank water evaporates less and the tank water doesn't stay as
cool.

Make sure your returns are breaking the water surface so you mix air into
the water or are using an air stone to keep oxygen levels up. Low oxygen
levels is the real danger behind warm water. There should be no need for a
chiller on a fish only tank. I ran 2 fluvals on a 55 and had no issues with
heat.

If possible, you can run a small cheapo clip-on fan at the water on top of
the tank. This will increase evaporation and cool down your tank several
degrees. I do this on my 450 and it keeps the tank around 83 for the
summer. It hits almost 90 without.
