Is there a responsible way to dispose of these guys? I'm ready to pick
them out and fling them in the back yard.

You can give them away, or take them back to the store or place them in
your QT

I love keeping hermits in my tanks.

Any pictures?

my stupid...i thought you were trying to get rid of snails

take the hermits back to lfs.

I've got a bunch. Some corals DO NOT like them.

Funny how the LFS failed to tell me that. Sometimes I think those guys are
just trying (and succeeding) to take my $.

Thanks for the offer, but I wouldn't recommend it. They have devastated
my copepod population by constantly digging in the sand.

My neighbor took my daughter to the beach and they came back with a
children's sand bucket full of hermits. I think I started with over a
hundred, and I'm down to a more comfortable 30-40 now.

I'm having serious nutrient issues from my DSB, so I'd like to get a
detrivore population going again. I think the hermits may need to go.

White legs. It appears that the hundred was reduced to handful.

How big are they, including shells they sit in?
Any close up pictures available?

Okay, let me take a look. I'm really busy this week, so it may be next
week before I get back to you.
