of betta and ghost shrimp

tonight i was surprised to find my ghost shrimp swimming at the top of the
bowl. I have 2 ghost shimp one about an 1 and a half one just under that and
a medium size betta. the ghost shrimp have each taken a side of the bowl to
swim the length of it and the betta is staying away from the two, every once
in a while the ghost shrimp will touch the betta and he darts away and every
once and a while the betta attacks the shrimp whats going on?

Bettas will often eat Ghost shrimp (a common feeder shrimp).
It doesn't matter that they're larger than their mouths. They kill
them, then peck at them until eaten.
Your Betta will thrive if put into a heated, filtered tank.
Room temp bowls aren't really a good home for them.
Do you have any tanks, or just the fishbowl?
