What is it?

Been doing fish for a long time now (meaning I have a bit of experience)

My question is I have this thing, looks like a small white potato growing in
my tank, it's about .5 inches across and sits in the same place all the
time. I haven't messed with it at all, just watching it grow.
It started smaller and in about 3 weeks has doubled it's size

No roots or filaments I can see, but they can be in the gravel bed

So any ideas,
I only feed fish food, flakes and some bottom feeder discs

if you have any live plants that you purchased from the pet store it may
have come with them just smalller. Its probably a bulb of an underwater
plant. If its not hurting anything might as well let it grow and seee what
it is.
