I've noticed over the past 2 weeks about 50 tube worms appearing on the
glass and rocks. They are about 1mm in size and it looks like someone took
a handful and just threw them in splotches. Any thought good or bad on
this? Anything I need to be concerned about? How do worms reproduce and is
this something that is going to be a constant?

Thanks in advance,

Brad

Normal, they come an go, in mature tanks you don't see as many IME.

I have to *ditto* this.. I was getting them all over, even the glass and was
worried they were going to take over. All of a sudden one day I realized I
had almost none.. there is one rock they still hang out on but it's just a
couple dozen or so. The tank was only a couple months old when I noticed
them and it was another 2 or 3 months later when I realized they were nearly
all gone. I used to just scrape them off the front of the tank, didn't
bother with trying to get rid of them anywhere else.

i've had 1000s in my tank and they are harmless, would'nt know how to get
rid of them if they were harmful.
One down side i can think of is the calcium they consume
