Does anyone have any insite as to how to propogate mushrooms or polups?
I have read on a website that sells and raises mushrooms of differnt
types that you can actually cut some of them off and (so-called)
transplant them onto another piece of rock by either using a covering
mesh to hold them in place until they take hold or they suggested also
being able to super glue them (with their glue) to a rock.
I was just wondering if anyone has tried any of these methods or knows
of a different method.
I currently have a hairy mushroom, spotted mushroom, elephant ear
mushroom and also green star polup and yellow polup and a button polup.
All are doing great but I would like to spread things around if I can
find a tried and true method.

Cheers,

GSP propagation is easy. Just cut off the purple underside & glue it
where you want it to be.
Mushrooms.....I guess I'd choose a different method for each kind
(ricordias, regular shrooms, or hairy). Although it really doesn't seem to
matter those guys are pretty much indestructible.
I guess you could probably just treat it like toadstool propagation. Just
cut off the heads & the stem will regrrow & the head will regrow a base.
I would not use super glue on any softies just because they can slime it
off. I used to keep a small breeder tank (small box with slots in it so
water flows through it) in the corner of my tank the bottom was lined with
LR rubble. I'd just dump shrooms in there & eventually they settle to the
bottom & attach.

Unless you are moving them to another tank, I would just be patient.
Mushrooms will spread like crazy on their own without any help.
