We have two silver goramis and we bought a plant a few weeks ago to help the
cycle along since its a new set up (or was, the ammonia is at 0 again, thank
God!) anyhow, the goramis keep eating the plant. They pick off pieces of the
plant and spit them out. The plant has had about four full stems from the
base broken off now and its like a fifth of the size of when we bought it.
They get fed atleast once a day so I don't think they're hungry. I'm just
rather curious as to this seemingly odd behavior. I'm not totally sure of
what type of plant it is, it was recommended by the owner of our LFS.
Somebody whom seen a picture of it thought it might be "Hygrophelia
difformus" AKA "Wisteria"
This isn't a major problem, just kind of odd. Doesn't make me want to add
more plants when they keep ripping them apart.
