Ok here is the situation. I have an fre oscar I bought about 6 months ago
and he has doubled in sized to about 4 or 5 inches and all seems great. He
had a good appetite, he is breathing well, very active and color is good. I
do 10 to 20% water change once a week and have two whisper 60 filters
running. I also have a royal placo and a violet goby in the tank as well.
The tank is 55 gal and will be upgrading to a 200 soon when I buy my house.
Anyhow here is the problem, earlier today I noticed that he/she has a
scratch on the his/her left side just above his gill slit, and he keeps
swimming around the tank quickly. He also goes into the bubble curtain and
flutters his fins and by fins I mean all of them. He will also rubs his
sides on the ground and on the glass. I'm not sure what it is, I have added
some salt to the tank in hopes that it is something that could be helped by
that. I raised the tank temp to about 83deg. Not sure what else other than
some antibiotics I can do to help him. Any ideas?
Thanks
Ben
