I recently bought two pairs of fancy guppies. I put them in
a 20 gallon tank with 2 peppered corys and a gold chinese
algae eater. (I may be moving the CAE back into my 20 gallon
community tank.) I have lots of questions.
Is it normal for them to hang out at the top of the tank?
What is the ideal PH for guppies?
What is the ideal temp?
What is the best food?
How long is the gestation period?
What is the best breeding trap to use and why?
What is the ideal male/female ratio?
Are there any Guppy web sites that I can visit for more
info?
Thanks

Karen

Keep an eye on them. they tend to feed at the top, but they usually move
around in the mid to upper range of the tank. Do they look like they are
gasping for air? Are they eating?

brine shrimp, spirulina, Sera brand flake foods

I use a net type with a plastic frame. Water circulates through the net.
You can put a small plant in it to provide a hiding place for the babies.

3 females to 1 male

My guppies aren't gasping for air and they have spent the last several hours
in the middle of the tank. Maybe they just needed to get used to the tank?
They ate good this AM.
