I have a new acrylic aquarium that's 21"L x 11"W x 18"H and holds 12
gallons. It's an Eclipse system with a 3 stage filtration system under the
hood and rocks from the local petsmart on the bottom. I filled it up with
water last evening and am planning to go pick up some tropical fish for it
tomorrow. I was considering zebra danios and neon tetras for the tank. I had
an aquarium 10 years ago and remember having good luck with both of those
varieties of fish. Are they good tank mates? Would some other combination of
small hearty fish be better? How many of them should I keep in the tank? I
dont have any plastic plants or other cover in the tank should I get some?
Am I going to need to purchase an algea eater fish for the tank at some
point? Any advice would be helpful.
