I have a few Ivory/Apple snail in my tank.
They kept getting out and laying eggs everywhere. They laid them on
the light above the tank (it was off.) They laid them on the outside
of my filter.
I drained the tank about 2 inches so they wouldn't have to pop my top
off the tank and break out. They laid eggs in my tank.
Now they are once again breaking out to lay eggs.
I'm sure the fall will eventually kill the snail and I"d like some of
the eggs to hatch.
The one on the light (which I unscrewed) dried out completely.
Then one on the side of the tank was moved into a small bowl and
placed above the water line in the bowl.
The eggs in the tank seem wet like frog eggs, but are stuck to the
side and out of the water.
The snail is currently laying eggs on the baseboard of my floor.
What can I do to get the eggs to hatch. OR to at least maximize the
chance that they will hatch.
I read up on it on some web sites, but all I got was they would hatch
in 3-4 weeks and the ones on the outside usually dried up and died and
the ones on the inside survived.
Any advice?
Any one actually have snails hatch?
Thanks
