Name please-silver with red and black fin

I recently bought a fish and cannot remember the name-it was the only one
left and the shop was not local so I can't just pop in and askm so any
quesses would be appreciated. It is silver, very streamlined, with a black
stripe going from about 2 thirds of the way down its body to the tip of the
bottom tail fin. The black stripe makes up the top part of the lower tail
fin and the bottom part of it is bright red. The upper tail fin is almost
see through with a slight red line along the top.
The shop said it would grow to around 4 or 5 inches-it is long and thin and
it would help if i even knew which fish group to start searching in.
Sorry for awful description-it's harder than I thought to describe a fish.
Any help greatly appreciated.
