There are many products that can deal with heavy metal. NovAqua is one.
A fresh charge of activated carbon would. More water changes.....after
a while...
Yea, those snail poisons are tricky.
A motivated Clown Loach would have probably got around to cleaning up
the snails. Copper kills plants, too.
Don't get too upset.....sooner or later we all lose fish.
My boring story goes like this:
I wanted some cory cats. I bought 3, put them in my 20H freshly
bleached and cleaned and fishless cycled quarantine tank. Next day, all
dead. I went back to the LFS and asked about this batch of cories. He
said no losses all is good. I bought another 3, same tank, next day all
dead. So I cleaned the tank again fearing toxins. I went and bought 3
more. Next day they were all dead. Dang I thought. So something is
wrong with this tank. So I went back and bought 3 more and put them in
my 29H community tank. Next day all fish in the tank were dead. Some I
had for years.
The moral of the story is:
You can always buy more fish......no matter what else we do.
