Years agoI had an Oscar named "Meat Loaf"
He was my buddy. I loved the way he would get excited when I brought him
some goldfish. He was almost an inch long when I got him. Thru the years he
attained about 14 inches long. He could eat a dozen goldfish in one sitting.
When My girlfriend and I broke up, she got custody and after a few months
she sold him to a pet store. I had to buy him back for like $35, but I was
glad to see him again. He caught hole in the head disease in the pet store
while he was there. He lasted about two months. He was with me altogether
for nearly 6 years. I buried him in the back yard. So then 10+ years
passes, I got married and had kids. I am now without a fishtank but still
kept all my filters, decorations, and stuff just in case I want to get back
into it. I am considering buying a new tank and teaching my kids how to take
care of fish. looking at the lists of newsgroups, I stumble upon
alt.aquaria.oscars and all the memories of my buddy Meat Loaf come flooding
back, Thanks for bieng here.
Sincerely
Scott Roller
