Hi;

Was wondering if anyone's had any experience with this product:

http://tinyurl.com/f8ste

The Hydor FLO rotating water deflector rotates 360 degrees driven by
the water flow of the filter being used, so no additional power source
is required. The FLO rotating water flow creates a natural and pleasant
wave effect which is beneficial to live plants and reef inhabitants and
leads to increased oxygenation. Adaptors are included which allow the
FLO rotating water deflector to be used with most aquarium filter and
water pump applications. For freshwater or marine aquariums. Ideal for
use with canister filters and powerheads. For use with devices with
flow rates of 80-310 gph.

They're pretty good. I've got 4 of them in my 55 gallon tank.

After a while, they can stop rotating, so you have to take them apart
and clean them, but other than that, they work great.

Other than restricting the flow of water, they work very well in small
tanks. I have used 2 of them in a 5 gallon nano that I had setup with 2
maxijet 1200's, with the restriction in flow and the small tank, it
actually ended up being pretty good flow. Now you will have to keep
them clean. I had to take them apart about once a month to clean them
up and keep them working.

Two MaxiJet 1200s in a *five* gallon tank? Wow, they really must
restrict flow. So much for using them in my 55 gallon tank.

I brought two to try them out. They were 'ok' but nothing special, lets be
honest, we've all spent quite a few pennies keeping our salty fish friends
happy so I gave up on them and brought 2 extra powerheads to give an all
round better flow.

Captain Feedback, If you want my two old hydor flo wd's (found one of them)
send me an e-mail and you can have them/it.
