At the LFS they sell these wonderful cubes which slowly release feed over a
given time. Wonderful when you are away for a short period of time. Does
anyone know how to make these. What is the material that is used that
slowly dissolves and releases the food?

Any clues, anybody?

I believe those weekend feeders are over rated. From my experience and the
many hobbyists I have personal contact with, they probably kill more fish
than they help. A few days of fasting won't harm a healthy fish.
If you want to make your own, I imagine water soluble Plaster of Paris, and
some king of dried food would be the place to start.
