What's a gravel vacuum and siphon? [First time cleaning a 10 gallon fish tank?]?
This is my first time getting some goldfish, and I know I need to clean the tank after two weeks.
But, I was just wondering what is siphon gravel vacuum?
Do I need one to clean my fish tank or not?
If no fish yet, stop! A goldfish is 10-20 liters, at least, plus an additional 10 liters for each additional fish. It's just until they begin to grow and then you need to upgrade.

I got a fish tank for my classroom and now I am hooked. The tank contains one betta , five neons, a snail, and two African Dwarf frogs. Everyone gets along and there haven't been any problems EXCEPT that the fish keep eating the frogs food. One of my frogs died of a bowel obstruction (at least I'm pretty sure that's what it was). Occasionally I'd see them eat the flakes that fell to the bottom but I never saw them eat anything else. The kids absolutely LOVE looking at the tank. Both may have been, and I'm afraid that the first one that died might have just gotten so hungry that he ate a piece of gravel. I've tested it and so did the Petco when I returned the dead frog. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the water that killed them....
