Looking for a protein Skimmer with only 2.5 inches space between the wall the and the fish tank?
I have 72 liters salt water tank with 2.5 inches space between the wall and the tank. It also has two inches Opening the back of the tank. Everyone hang in protein skimmer will define a limited space. If not, all in tank protein skimmer is good.
Do a search on any search engine for protein skimmer itself. There are plenty of plans online for making your own, so I'm sure you can find something that can make or modify plans for something you found to work.

Tangs and Algae
I have been interested in the powder blue tang, but have been told they are not very good eaters in captivity, they would not last more than a few months, and because they are costly, I should consider looking at a hardier type, like a yellow tang... I'm having a small problem with hair algae in my aquarium, and read that certain tangs can help reduce this algae problem. I really like the sohal tang, but they are very costly, as are purple tangs. My tank is 50 gallons and I have about 30 pounds of Marshall Island live rock in it. My fish consist of a flagfin angelfish, a maroon clown, a small green damsel, Any advice on the type of tang that would help my hair algae problem. Also, could this hair algae be caused from excess nitrates or insufficient lighting. I hope you can give me some advice regarding tangs.
