I have a 100gpd RO\DI unit (purchased from Marc) and less than 2
months ago I replaced the cartridges. The previous set lasted nearly
six months, and my usage has not increased very much in that time.
However, the DI unit is already fully discolored, indicating
exaustion. What could be causing the DI cart to be exausted so
quickly?

It has to be one of two things. Either your membrane is bad allowing a
lot more bad stuff through, or your source water is much worse causing
more bad stuff to go through. The first thing I would suggest you do is
make sure all of the filters are correctly seated (including the
membrane if you opened it up. Then check the alk of the water going
into the unit, and the alk of the water coming out of the membrane. The
water on the outlet should be much much lower than the water going in,
if it is not your membrane is not working correctly.

I haven't bugged Marc yet. I've been working some heavy hours, and
haven't had time to examine Kim's suggestion yet.

I just saw this thread. Have you tested the TDS of the water going in,
the water coming out of the RO and the water coming out of the DI yet?

My own DI cartridge looks only half consumed, but it isn't pulling out
the last of the TDS like the previous cartridge. Still, the TDS is
around 7 and I don't worry about it until it hits 10. At that point I
change all my filters out.

There are a number of reasons as to why a DI can come depleted quickly. Just one example
is high input CO2. Rather than me running off at the mouth take a read at this;
